Newly appointed asst. principal Allison Saunders

"My passion lies in serving our kids and our community. My love for the kids knows no bounds. I've developed a deep affection for every child and staff member I work with. It's a privilege to serve them to the best of my ability, and I'm truly thankful for it."

Mrs. Saunders, a graduate of LSU, began her teaching journey in Donaldsonville. Progressing from a classroom teacher to a master teacher, honing her skills and commitment to education. At Sorrento Primary, she took on the role of an administrative intern while pursuing her master's degree in leadership from Texas Tech University.

Her dedication shone through as she directly supported educators at Teach Ascension Academy, an initiative to help those with a non-education degree obtain teacher certification within two years in Ascension Parish. This invaluable experience propelled her to her new position as assistant principal at Gonzales Primary School.
